FOUNDER'S STORY - WHY I DANCE FOR HUMANITY:
When I was 14 years old, I was diagnosed with cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma). It was discovered that it was linked to environmental pollution caused by a local manufacturing company dumping chemicals that contaminated the soil, groundwater, and our drinking water. I was fortunate to live, however, there were others who did not. I dance for them and for all those who cannot.
During this time, I felt deeply unworthy. This is also when dance came alive for me. It was the one place in which I felt happy and free. It has helped me heal and has fueled me ever since. I dance for my own continued healing, joy and growth and for the wellbeing of all.
It only makes sense to me that we gather together and connect and dance in meaningful, mindful ways for the wellbeing of all and our planet and for the brightest path for ourselves and future generations. This is why I dance for humanity.
